Timeline
The Successor organization will be established within four months and transition to full operation after twelve. During the transition, the existing American Health Information Community organization will continue to operate established Work Groups under the leadership of Mark Leavitt, Secretary of HHS.
The transition period activities are designed to convene thought leaders and facilitate collaboration among health information stakeholders, while at the same time delivering a well designed AHIC Successor by June 2008.
